How to become a laser hair removal specialist. Society of Aesthetic Medicine - Laser courses

You need to decide if this technology is right for you. To do this, you need to contact and undergo an initial consultation.

Our initial consultation is free of charge. During the first consultation we:

  • We conduct an individual test of your skin, determine the thickness, quantity and color of hair in the epilation zones in order to adapt the technologies to your specific case.
  • We carry out a test for compatibility with laser technologies. We do a few test flashes so you can be sure that our procedures are safe and painless.
  • We identify individual contraindications

Based on these three tests, the doctor makes personalized recommendations for removing unwanted hair and the number of treatments you need.

Step 2: First session

For the first session of laser hair removal, it is extremely important that the skin in the area of hair removal is clean, i.e. without traces of deodorant (underarms), make-up (face) or any creams (other areas).

A couple of days before the session, you need to shave the epilation area. But if suddenly your first session coincides with the first visit to our center, do not worry, the cosmetologist will independently process the epilation area.

At each epilation session, you will be provided with special goggles to protect your eyes from laser radiation.

During laser hair removal, the hair root is destroyed by light, which can cause you to feel a slight burning sensation, resembling a prick. For the procedure, we use devices equipped with a cold gas supply system - it protects the surface of the epidermis before the laser pulse is applied. Pain is affected by individual sensitivity, someone may not feel pain at all. One way or another, when compared with waxing, laser hair removal is incomparably less painful.

Immediately after the procedure, the beautician will apply a special cream to the epilation area to soothe the skin. There may be slight redness, which disappear within the next two hours.

The effect of the first procedure can last for several days: some hairs will fall out immediately, some over the next days. This happens because the laser destroys the cells of the hair follicle, and also affects the capillaries that feed the hair root. That is why the effect may not appear immediately.

Step 3: between sessions

Subsequent procedures will be exactly the same. Between treatments, we recommend only shaving as a way to remove unwanted hair, as it is necessary to use methods that do not irritate either the skin or the hair follicle. Shaving meets these two requirements.

The interval between sessions is four to six weeks. The exact time between sessions, just like the required number of sessions, can only be said by the doctor at the initial consultation.

Step 4: success

At the end of the course of sessions prescribed by the doctor, you will feel extraordinary lightness, as unwanted hairs will disappear and you will forget about this problem forever.

So, no special difficulties and wisdom. On average, a laser hair removal session takes from 15 to 30 minutes. So it's very fast, simple, painless and very effective!

We are waiting for you in our center - come and try everything yourself!

We decided to dispel the myths about laser hair removal and asked Karina Musayeva, laser therapist and chief physician of the laser hair removal and cosmetology clinics Laser Lounge Clinic and LazerJazz, to answer a few pressing questions.

Is it true that any methods of hair enhance their growth in the long run?

Partly. Not all, but some depilation methods really lead to stiffening of the hairs. For example, if you use a razor or remove hair with an epilator or wax, then vellus hair (and most of them on our body are thin, barely noticeable hairs) after such depilation really become stiffer and darker. However, this story does not apply to already dark hair, it certainly will not grow faster than before.

What is the most effective permanent hair removal method?

At the moment, the most effective method of hair removal is laser and elos hair removal. They allow for six months to completely solve the problem of unwanted hair on any part of the face and body with maximum comfort for the patient.

Lasers are different: alexandrite and diode- Most Popular. The first is considered the “gold standard of hair removal”, since the wavelength is 755 nm, that is, the very length that is absorbed by the hair pigment to the maximum, without affecting either the skin or blood vessels. Alexandrite laser is suitable for any type of skin and hair, including light-skinned blondes and dark-skinned brunettes. In addition, such hair removal takes very little time: two shins - about ten minutes.

If your hair follicles are located deep enough (hard hair and bristles), then I advise you to pay attention to another type of popular laser - a diode one. Epilation with this device is carried out at the longest light wave - 800-940 nm, which makes it possible to carry out an effective procedure even in the most difficult cases.

Diode lasers are also considered to be more comfortable than alexandrite lasers, but their main disadvantage is that they do not work well with fine vellus hair that is on the face, or with weakened hairs at the end of the epilation course.

Let's move on to elos epilation. Elos technology is a combination of two types of energy at once: laser and RF energy. This method is ideal for areas with high sensitivity - armpits, bikini, men's facial hair removal, coarse, deep-lying hair. Works great on light hair. And the restrictions on the period of abstinence from hair removal "after" and "before" the beach are lower than those of the laser - only a week instead of "laser" two or three. The only drawback is that the procedure takes longer than other types of hair removal.

There is also a method electrolysis. It seems at first glance more affordable, but this procedure is significantly inferior to the laser in terms of efficiency, especially since there is a high risk of scarring. Although, it also has advantages, for example, electrolysis allows you to remove gray hair, which a laser cannot do.

When choosing a hair removal method, many also consider photoepilation. It appeared before the laser one, so many people think it is reliable and “tested”. However, today this is an obsolete method, like floppy disks and DVD players. That is, they work, but why use them when there are flash drives and online TV?

Photoepilation is approximately 20% less effective than laser hair removal. Limitations are embedded in the technology of the method itself. During photoepilation, a beam of waves is produced, and they are all of different lengths. Therefore, some of them are absorbed by the skin, some by the pigment of the vessels, and only a part by the pigment of the hair. That is, photoepilation will be effective only for people with white-white skin and black-black hair. Others will take the course for a long and painful time, and the fair-haired may still have burns.

How many laser hair removal treatments do you need for a lifetime effect?

The result is influenced by many factors, including physiological characteristics, such as skin color, thickness and hair color, but still, first of all, it is the apparatus and knowledge of the laser therapist. This is a separate specialization in aesthetic medicine, so always be interested in these aspects before signing up for laser hair removal.

For the most effective laser and elos epilation, you need to come into the active phase (that is, the hair is visible). The course of laser hair removal on an alexandrite laser or elos epilation of the legs is 4-5 procedures to the perfect result. During each procedure, we destroy about 30% of unwanted hair, that is, those follicles that are in the active phase, the rest is “sleeping” and we will destroy it next time. Bikini, armpits, upper lip are a hormone-dependent zone, hair grows faster there, the cycle is shorter, that is, the procedure needs to be done more often: once a month, so it will take about 12 procedures, that is, an average of a year.

Three more "bonuses" of laser hair removal

  1. The problem of ingrown hairs will disappear from the first procedure (laser hair removal is an indication for the treatment of this problem)
  2. Laser hair removal does not require hair to grow back (like waxing), it can be completely shaved between treatments, but unlike shaving, the stiffness and intensity of the hair will never return.
  3. The laser improves the quality of the skin - its tone evens out (post-traumatic pigmentation from ingrown hairs disappears, its microrelief improves ("holes" from which the hair shaft grew out) improve). That is, the skin really becomes incredibly silky, this is not an epithet, this is a fact.

Almost every woman dreams of silky smooth skin. A few years ago, it was almost impossible to believe that unwanted hair can be eliminated once and for all. One of the most effective procedures, which, despite its novelty, enjoys tremendous success, is ELOS hair removal. It is fundamentally different from all other procedures for removing unwanted vegetation (electrolysis, photoepilation). The principle of its operation is based on the simultaneous action of a high-frequency light pulse and current (for example, laser hair removal is based on one type of energy). Thanks to it, you can easily and painlessly remove hair on any part of the body: bikini area, armpits, above the upper lip, etc. Another advantage is that with this procedure, the color and structure of the hair is absolutely unimportant (for example, you cannot get rid of gray and light hair by photoepilation).

The course of the ELOS epilation procedure lasts for 6-8 sessions with an interval of 1-2 months. Such a long duration depends on the fact that during the procedure only those hairs that are in the active growth phase are removed.

Naturally, elos hair removal is carried out in the salon, and in many respects its result depends on the professionalism of the master. If you strive to improve as a cosmetologist, or want to learn a new, modern, profitable profession, then you should undergo elos hair removal training.

Courses of photoepilation and photorejuvenation using the IPL device

Recently, IPL-systems, which are actively used in cosmetology, have gained particular popularity. Thanks to the unique properties that IPL has, it has become possible to achieve a significant breakthrough in skin rejuvenation. Now cosmetologists can easily remove pronounced age-related changes. Moreover, increased collagen synthesis contributes to the elimination of broken blood vessels and age spots. The rays easily penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin and act on the hair follicles, reducing their size until completely destroyed.

Photoepilation

Photoepilation has managed to win a large number of supporters, which continues to grow. This result is due to the safety of the procedure and the long-term effect. Many women have seen the effectiveness of photoepilation. This procedure allows you to get rid of unwanted hair forever. These amazing results are obtained by the device for photoepilation. To get rid of excess hair for a long time or permanently, it is necessary to destroy the hair follicle from which the hair grows. Controlled pulses of light penetrate the surface layer of the skin and are absorbed by melanin, a natural pigment found in hair.
Melanin transforms light into thermal energy, which is transferred to the follicle and leads to its destruction and permanent cessation of hair growth. The number of sessions that will be required for high-quality removal is determined by the specialist depending on the condition of the skin and hair structure.

Photorejuvenation

Skin rejuvenation is the removal of pigmented skin disorders. Age spots can occur due to sunburn, hereditary and hormonal factors, during the natural aging of the skin. The device for photorejuvenation of the skin acts selectively, that is, the light emitted by the device is carefully controlled by special filters. As a result, the skin is affected by pulses of exactly the wavelength and power that is necessary in order to destroy the cells of the pigmented area of the skin without damaging the surrounding tissues.
The device for photorejuvenation of the skin is also very effective in combating facial rosacea.
