Napkin "Central Lake" incl. for napkin "Swan Lake"

This is the central part for the coming full work.

Photos in good quality and high resolution (including desktop wallpapers, diagrams or other pictures) can be enlarged and downloaded, links under the corresponding images (photos).

The diagram is attached. taken from https://www.site

The arrows on the diagrams indicate the direction of connecting the elements, since the double crochets in the middle are folded in waves, the diagram did not fit and had to be expanded along the way.

The arrangement of colored rows is shaded in blue, there are 2 of them in 3 rows. The wave motif itself is repeated over each arch of the previous row in the same way as indicated on the sample. taken from https://www.site

That is, the waves fit like this:
first row
* 5 double crochets (SC) + 2 air loops (VP) + 5 double crochets (SC) *
second row
* 6 RLS + 2 VP + 6 RLS *
third row
* 7 RLS + 2 VP + 7 RLS *

I did not experience any difficulties with their laying, they somehow took the desired shape themselves. taken from https://www.site

Larger (in a new window):

Colored threads were cut off after the end of the rows, and the white threads were skipped under the colored threads without breaking, because. the rows are dense and do not shine through. The ends of the threads have not yet been fixed and hidden. taken from https://www.site

I used acrylic threads 50gr / 275m white (rather white wool) and blue. The hook for my yarn was suitable No. 2. taken from https://www.site

If you have any questions, please use the form below to comment. The latter are also welcome, as are photographs of your work.

Good luck! taken from https://www.site

By popular demand of readers, I am publishing a selection of crocheting napkins with swans under the general title "... and a white swan on a pond ...".

Master class, patterns and descriptions of knitting.

Here are the models of napkins and swans that are presented here:

Napkins can be very different, you can also choose the swan model at your discretion.

Beginning of knitting, practically for all models of napkins with swans the same. Consider this model:

Work the middle of the napkin according to the pattern, then work 5 sc swans with attachment behind the back of the pigtail.

Cast on 18 chs, work 1 ch for lifting and knit sc in each st of the chain of the initial row, making the first attachment according to the scheme in the 3rd st from the hook (the st on the hook is not included in the calculation).
Having knitted to the end of the row, tie 2 more sc in the last st to turn and tie the 2nd p., attaching to the rest of the loop of the initial row. Next, knit according to the scheme, knitting the columns behind the back of the loops.
Having knitted all the rows of the "leaflet", tie it in a circle with one row according to the scheme.

Attention! Pico knit from 5-6 loops.

Tie the necks of the swans, for which you knit a chain of 18 VPs, then knit 6 p.
RLS, secure the thread and break off, leaving a long working end.
Insert it into the needle and sew the tube stitch over the edge, grabbing the remaining parts of the loops of the chain of the initial row and the loops of the last row.
Make the seam tight, pulling it slightly so that the neck of the swan arches. Pin the seam and sew the neck to the base. Tie the top of the neck with a red thread RLS.
Knit in a circle 4-5 p., decreasing in each p. 1 sc. Pull the remaining columns with a piece of working thread. With black thread, sew 2 stitches indicating the eyes. Starch the product, shaping the swans.

Probably the most popular napkin "Swan lake"

The scheme is from this model, only in our case - instead of flowers, there will be swans in the center of the napkin:

Stages of work:

In order to knit such a napkin, we need 50 g of white threads, much black and red floss threads for finishing and hook No. 1.2.

First, we knit the middle of the napkin according to the pattern with a flower motif, starting with five air loops closed in a ring, cut off the thread and hide the end. Scheme of a napkin geese-swans:

Symbols on the diagram. To knit:

- air loop (VP)

Single crochet (SC)

Double crochet (CCH)

Column with two crochets (CC2H)

The numbers in the diagram indicate the number of air loops in the arches. Pico in the last knitted row, it is knitted from five air loops. (Knit the last stitch in the chain from the same stitch as the first)

Tie five swans single crochet with attachment to the back of the pigtail. First, we knit the lower part of the swans, in the form of a convex leaflet.

Dial 18 VP, make one air loop for lifting and knit with single crochets in each loop of the pigtails from the chain of air loops.

When we knit to the end of the pigtails, then we knit two more single crochets for turning in the last loop and knit the second row, attaching to the rest of the air loop of the initial row. Then we knit according to the scheme, attaching the posts to the back of the loops.

Having knitted all the rows of the lower part of the swan, we tie the leaf in a circle with one row according to the scheme, not forgetting to attach it to our first flower motif.

So we knit the five lower parts of the swans and, in the process of knitting the last row of the strapping, we attach them in a circle at the same distance from each other to the central part of the floral motif napkin.

After that, we knit according to the scheme: we tie four rows of arches from air loops and in the process of knitting we attach to the central part of the napkin and in the last, fourth row we connect the swans together. Pico in the fourth row we knit from five air loops.

We bind wing I to the bases of the swan according to the scheme:

We knit swan necks: to do this, we knit a chain of eighteen air loops, then we knit six rows with single crochets, fasten and cut the thread, leaving the long end of the working thread. We thread this end of the thread into the needle and sew our knitting into a tube with a seam over the edge, capturing the loops of the last row and the chains of the initial row. We make the seam tight, pulling it together a little so that the neck of the swan arches. We fix the seam and sew the neck to the already connected base - the lower part of the swan.

Beak. We tie the top of the neck with single crochets with a red floss thread in a circle of 4-5 rows, decreasing one single crochet in each row. The remaining columns are pulled together with a piece of working thread. We make two stitches with a black floss thread with a needle, which will indicate the eyes of a swan.

So we knit the necks of all five swans. After that, we starch the napkin, giving a curved shape to the necks and wings of the swans.

These original swan napkins can decorate any interior, making it exclusive.
