Fashion idea: DIY wooden Christmas tree. DIY Christmas tree for the New Year - photo ideas and master classes How to make a Christmas tree from wood

If you want to surprise guests with unusual decor, celebrate Christmas and New Year in an original way, I offer several ideas on how to make a wooden Christmas tree with your own hands - materials - branches with snags, roots, tree cuts, just a piece of wood or plywood.

Decorative birch tree - tree cuts

This is a Christmas craft for men, the Christmas tree is made using birch cuts. It can serve as a decor both inside and outside the house. It is not necessary to cut out Christmas figurines inside each wooden round, you can leave it as it is, or apply a pattern by burning it.

If you are not too lazy, you can make stencil drawings with acrylic paint. But in my opinion in natural color it looks more interesting.

And this is a close-up, stencils of drawings are made like on Christmas cookies - a star, a heart, a deer, a Christmas tree. The bark is not peeled (so much better!), No special treatment.

It is not necessary to cut branches that are thick in diameter, you can be content with thin ones, there will simply be more of them. Fastening - on glue.

Creative Christmas tree made of branches and snags with your own hands

This is an even simpler version of a homemade Christmas tree. This is good to put in front of the house, in the garden. And next to her - such wonderful deer, which are also made using natural material.

If these objects are wrapped around with a garland of lanterns, then even such an “unsightly” Christmas tree will shine with a completely different light. No one forbids decorating such a decorative coniferous tree like a real one - with balls and toys. Especially in the evening light will be great.

The easiest way to make a souvenir Christmas tree is to find a piece of plywood or a wooden block, draw the outlines of the future craft on it, and then, as the sculptor said, "remove everything unnecessary."

Put it on a stand for more stability and stability.

Paint it green or leave it as is - this is the business of the owner of the forest beauty.

If you drill a few holes, then it is quite possible to hang small light decorations on the Christmas tree - sweets, paper toys, ribbons, or just colored glass balls.

Other wooden products are suitable for such crafts as decor - garlands with sticks, twigs, cones, for example, such as in the picture below.

You can adapt wooden beads, all sorts of trinkets, old unnecessary more children's toys for babies to this business.

There are many options for how to make a wooden Christmas tree with your own hands - you can come up with your own (cones, shavings, whatever!), It all depends on your imagination and preferences.

A wooden Christmas tree can be painted as a whole, as you can see, even white will do (it will be in the snow!), Or you can create an aging effect.

To do this, before painting, rub the protruding parts a little with wax or paraffin of an ordinary candle. After the paints have dried, the paint will not stick to the treated areas, wipe them with a cloth - this way you can “age” any objects.

In the end, I’ll show you several options for a Christmas tree made of white-painted wooden sticks or twigs that I spied on shop windows on the eve of Christmas.

These Christmas trees look good, they resemble snow-covered beauties in the forest. In my opinion, the latest option looks most impressive, such a stick pyramid, and the smallest sticks are used at the very top, medium ones in the middle, and large ones at the very bottom.

It is quite possible to decorate such a wooden craft with real Christmas tree decorations, for example, balls, put a bird on a branch, at least

The original Christmas tree-beauty will decorate the festive interior. Of course, a round dance around her is not to be led, but such a miracle will certainly raise the mood. Here is such an interesting desktop craft that can be made from the simplest things that are in every home.

Necessary materials:

  • A4 sheet, cardboard;
  • dense threads (preferably wool mixture);
  • 2 "yolks" from kinders;
  • wooden sticks for sushi;
  • plasticine;
  • Styrofoam;
  • stationery knife;
  • stroke corrector;
  • red nail polish;
  • PVA glue;
  • fabric scraps;
  • little things for decoration.

Make the frame of the future Christmas tree from A4 sheet - fold it into a bag. Insert the foam inside.

Apply glue to the surface of the cone in not wide strips and wind the thread around it.

Secure the end of the thread with glue.

Sushi sticks will serve as the legs of our beauty. To do this, they need to be painted with a proofreader.

While they dry from the "yolks" make boots, as shown in the photo.

Fill them up to half with plasticine and wrap with a cloth.

Insert stick legs into boots, decorate the Christmas tree with various bows, ribbons. Paint the legs with stripes of red varnish. ready!

You can make a hat out of cardboard, cover it with a cloth and sew on a pompom.

DIY shabby chic Christmas tree

Let's make such an amazingly beautiful and original craft in a trendy shabby chic style.

Necessary materials.

For the base, we take a large paper cup or any plastic utensils. Separately, we dilute alabaster or gypsum with water to the density of liquid sour cream and pour it into the future pot. We fix the trunk of our tree, plant a branch in the center and fix it in this position until it hardens.

We make a cone out of cardboard using a stapler.

We make the top of the spruce from wire and foam rubber.

We connect the top with the trunk and attach the cone.

We wrap the base of the tree with white fur.

Cut off excess from below.

Then we fold the ends of the burlap inward and attach it with hot glue.

Let's get down to the fun part - decorating our Christmas tree in the shabby chic style.

To create a finished composition, we need a stand.

We make a bench from a bamboo napkin.

From white fur - a snowman.

We attach a bell to the top of the spruce.

We decorate the Christmas tree with beads, pearls, flowers, lace, etc.

We apply transparent glue to the very top of the tree.

And sprinkled with artificial snow.

We do the same with the bench.

Our composition "Winter's Tale" is ready!

Decorative Christmas tree made of napkins

We will make it from cardboard and single-layer napkins. You will also need beads for decoration.

First of all, we will build a frame for our Christmas tree. We fold the cone from cardboard, fasten it (I sewed it with threads) and cut exactly the bottom of the cone so that it can stand.

The base is ready, set aside for now. Now let's move on to napkins. From them we will make roses. Single-layer plain paper napkins are suitable for us.

We take a napkin and cut it along the folds. Then fold it in three and cut along the folds again.

The resulting strips are still tripled and cut again. We got a square equal to 1/9 of the napkin.

We fasten this square in the center with a stapler.

Then cut out a circle from it. Mega-accuracy and accuracy are not required here at all, the finished rosette can be slightly corrected with scissors.

Thus, a rose is formed. If the finished rose seems uneven to you, then you can trim it with scissors.

The number of such flowers depends on the size of your cardboard cone. My Christmas tree turned out to be 21 cm high and I needed 59 roses for it.

When all the flowers are ready, we return to the cone. Starting from the crown, glue the flowers onto the cone so that the base is not visible. I glued it with hot glue (it’s more convenient for me), but the most ordinary PVA will do.

I made a Christmas tree from napkins in two colors. If you also decide to create your own craft from multi-colored roses, then you can safely experiment with their alternation on the cone. If the result does not suit you, you can always tear off the flower and re-glue it to another place. In this case, only the lower layer of the flower will suffer. It (the bottom layer) is simply torn off. The rosette will not lose its appearance.

So, we glued the flowers to the cone. The Christmas tree itself is ready and you can stop at this stage.

I also decorated it with beads - I glued it on the same hot glue, here PVA will no longer help.

DIY decorative Christmas tree made of napkins

As you can see, even a beginner can make such beauty, so you can safely involve children in the process.

Then take and bend to the side the entire structure. Sometimes Christmas trees do not stretch up perfectly evenly, but lean to the side like this.

To model Christmas tree decorations - small sweets - use white and red plasticine. Form red round pills (the inside of the candy), as well as white triangles (the twisted part of the candy wrappers).

Glue delicious sweets. Glue a white dot on each red circle and push in the center with a toothpick. Glue triangular pieces on the sides.

Make enough decorative details to fill the entire surface of the Christmas tree, evenly distributing sweets around the circumference at some distance.

Glue all the resulting blanks to the crown. A beautiful Christmas craft is almost ready. From below, press down a small lid - a stump (or mold it from plasticine).

Do-it-yourself Christmas tree made of felt

Let's make felt Christmas trees - this is a great Christmas decoration and perfect for school or kindergarten.

Prepare for them:

  • A set of colored felt;
  • cotton wool;
  • glue "Moment" transparent;
  • any beads;
  • threads for knitting and sewing;
  • a needle;
  • scissors;
  • felt-tip pen.

Choose the right colors for the felt. It can be different shades of green. Or you can show your imagination and make an unusual red or blue spruce. Fold a couple of sheets of felt together, draw the shape of a spruce on the top.

Cut a piece of patterned felt along the entire length and fold it in half as shown in the photo. We do this only if the felt is not very thick, otherwise it will be difficult to cut 4 layers at once.

Cut out 4 blanks.

To give them a bulge, put some cotton wool, as shown in the photo.

Lubricate the edges of the workpiece with glue.

Cut a piece of knitting thread and attach it to the top of the workpiece, directly on the glue. For him, it can be hung. Attach the second blank and press along the edge so that both parts stick together.

On a light Christmas tree, make stitches with threads of a darker green color. This will add originality to the craft.

Decorate the second with a border of pearl beads. To do this, make a layer of glue along the edge and put beads on it.

Now let your kid decorate them however he wants. After drying, the craft is ready for use.

Such a simple craft will be a great decoration for your Christmas tree. It can be given to grandparents. Older kids can do it completely on their own. By this principle, you can make any decorations from felt. Anything your imagination tells you.

Pasta tree toy

A little more than a month is left before the new year, which means that the demand for Christmas trees and everything related to them (as an attribute of the new year) is becoming more and more in demand every day. Surely, many are familiar with the feeling when the children grew up, the belief in the New Year's miracle disappears, and with it the desire to install spruce / pine in the house. The problem with its removal, as well as free space, is very acute. I want to bring to your attention a simple alternative to an ordinary Christmas tree. Small wooden Christmas trees made of plywood.

Everything is very simple, we cut out thin strips of wood from wooden blocks, gradually increasing the overall width, thereby forming a Christmas tree.

\

We glue together all the plates. Thus, we get an interesting Christmas tree. For greater beauty, we rotate the particles so that they do not stand exactly, thereby imitating the liveliness of the branches. From below, in the extreme part of the board, in a previously prepared hole, we glue a wooden peg.

From plywood we cut out a square-stand. We fasten the second part of the pegs to it.

A Christmas tree in the house during the New Year holidays is a wonderful tradition that has been followed by more than one generation for a long time. This tree, decorated with shiny toys and sparkling garlands, invariably causes awe and delight in the hearts of children and adults.

Despite the huge popularity of a live Christmas tree, many still decorate their home with its artificial counterpart in order to preserve the green spaces of coniferous trees. Therefore, alternative Christmas trees have recently come into fashion, thanks to the inexhaustible imagination of decorators, made from a wide variety of materials. Among them you can find designs made of wire, fabric, feathers, plastic, paper, glass and wood.

We devoted today's article to an unusual version of a wooden Christmas tree, because we are sure that such a tree can be a very effective solution.

Wooden Christmas trees

Maybe you recently changed the flooring from the boards, dismantled a wooden table with wobbly legs, or unnecessary drawers are stored in the back room of the house. All this can be reused to create an original New Year's decor.

It is not necessary to have any special skills to put together a cone-shaped flat structure, and you can style the Christmas tree according to your idea of \u200b\u200bwhat it should be.

For example:

  • Naive, as in drawn Soviet cartoons, covered with half-worn paint

  • From raw boards, installed directly on the floor or leaning against the wall, with a minimum of decorations
  • With a clear geometric shape and a sparkling garland, in a group of several simple Christmas trees with original homemade decorations

  • Stacked construction

The Christmas tree, made entirely of wooden elements, is able to resemble a traditional one with its silhouette, thanks to its three-dimensional design. And it’s not at all difficult to create such a thing, because all that is needed is a cruciform base with a high metal pin in the center, on which thin boards or branches of different lengths are strung in turn from bottom to top in descending order.

It is noteworthy that decorating a type-setting wooden Christmas tree is a pleasure. Glass balls and figurines are simply hung at the ends of the boards, decorative figurines can simply be glued to them with double-sided tape, and tablet candles can be placed in pre-formed recesses.

  • "Layout" of the Christmas tree

As proof of the great possibilities of wooden structures, here is another simple way to create a decorative tree. In this form, trees are most often recreated in reduced copies of parks, squares with models of residential and public buildings at the design stage.

Therefore, it seems interesting to us the idea of embodying the outlines of a New Year's tree following the example of papier-mâché and cardboard objects. It is possible to repeat each of the options below on your own at home.

The Christmas tree consists of two identical pieces of medium thickness plywood, which are connected to each other thanks to the central cuts. In one part of the tree in its center, a thin strip (equal to the thickness of a plywood sheet) is cut from the base to the middle of the height of the tree, in the other part - from the top to the middle, with the help of which the structure is securely fixed.

A more detailed master class can be found in our article "".

  • A three-dimensional model of a Christmas tree made not entirely from wood, but rather from its derivative material - cardboard. Several fragments of the same size and shape are folded in half lengthwise, and then glued together at the folds, forming a single figured model.

  • Table decorative Christmas trees

Your imagination is the most useful assistant in the task of translating ideas on the theme of miniature wooden Christmas trees. In the event that it is enough, we suggest referring to our photo selection.

The remains of plywood, fiberboard, MDF will serve as materials for table decor for the New Year holidays and Christmas, and in order to preserve the characteristic texture of wood, we recommend limiting yourself to a small amount of decorations or a thin layer of acrylic paints.

Master class: whatnot - Christmas tree

If the household has a mechanical jigsaw, it can be used to construct a completely charming Christmas tree, which, moreover, can be used as a wall shelf or table shelf.

So, before you get started, you need to prepare:

  1. Sheet of thin plywood
  2. Mechanical jigsaw (or manual, if it is not difficult for you to work with it)
  3. wood glue
  4. Roulette
  5. simple pencil
  6. Acrylic paint, brush

Step 1:

On a sheet of plywood, you should draw an isosceles triangle - the basis of the future Christmas tree. To do this, measure with a tape measure a horizontal line 40 cm long at the bottom of the sheet. Then, from its middle (20 cm), draw up a strictly vertical line 60 cm long. From the resulting vertex, draw two segments down to the ends of the horizontal line.

Step 2:

We make blanks for the sides and shelves of the Christmas tree. We measure the lengths of its base and sides, and then visually divide the structure into three equal parts horizontally, thanks to which the Christmas tree will have two shelves in the upper and lower parts. (Do not forget to measure the trunk fragment and sides for it)

Step 3:

Depending on how deep you want to make your Christmas tree, you should draw all the necessary blanks with the indicated lengths and a total width of 5-10 cm rectangles.

Step 4:

Using a jigsaw, you need to cut a triangular blank and all the rectangles from a sheet of plywood. Using wood glue, gradually glue the rectangles to the sides of the base, applying their ends perpendicularly. After that, in the intervals between the sides we glue the shelves.

Step 5:

We glue the trunk with sides to the Christmas tree last, after the back bar is attached.

Step 6:

We let the glue dry, check the reliability of the bond and cover the structure with two layers of acrylic paint.

1

So, in a few steps you can get a decorative Christmas tree rack, and decorate it easily in a variety of ways: figurines of animals and birds, bunches of berries, beads, paper snowflakes and other crafts.

2

Take on board the ideas of creating such original Christmas trees, and no one will dare to call your interior devoid of style. Happy Holidays!
