Return to the main color yarn, finish the current row with knit stitches, plus another 28 circular rows (total - 37 rubles from the rib).

In the next row, i.e. 38th, starting from the first needle, start decreasing along the edges. At the same time, on the 1st and 3rd knitting needles, slip the penultimate loop onto the right knitting needle. Knit the last loop and pull it through the removed one (i.e. 2 stitches along with a tilt to the right). But on the 2nd and 4th knitting needles the inclination should be to the left, i.e. Knit the first loop and pull through the second. Thus, decrease until there are two loops left on the knitting needles (total: 8 stitches). Cut the thread at a distance of 5 cm and tighten the remaining loops. The remaining piece of yarn will be needed later to fasten the outer and inner mittens together.

Return to marker. Using a knitting needle, pull the thread out of the fabric. Cast on the dropped stitches on the knitting needles. Total: 6 sts at the bottom and 7 sts at the top. On the bottom row, pick up one more side loop on each side. They must be knit crossed in the first row to avoid the appearance of holes in the fabric. In total, knitting the thumb is carried out on 15 loops for the next 17 rows.

The outer one is ready. It's time for the "lining". To do this, cast on 40 stitches along the bottom edge of the elastic so that the outer loops remain behind the work.

Work the next 8 rows in stockinette stitch. In the 9th row, knit 6 loops with a thread of a different color parallel to the thumb on the outer mitten. Return to main yarn. Continue working with knit stitches for the next 26 rows. In total, the elastic band should make 35 rows. Make reductions. Pull the last 8 loops together with thread, leaving a 5-centimeter tip.

Knitting the thumb of an inner mitten is no different from the method described earlier. The only difference will be the number of rows, which are half a centimeter less (15 rows in total).

Using the previously left ends of the yarn, fasten both parts from the inside and turn the fabric inside out. This must be done so that the child does not suffer in the future when putting on and taking off gloves, because the lining will remain in place under any circumstance.

Have a great mood everyone. I have it great today. The description of the long-awaited double mittens “Rime” using the lazy jacquard technique is ready. They turned out to be light and at the same time unusually warm. And also, one might say, airy. When I weighed them, they were like snowflakes - about 65 grams. Luxury, elegance and noble simplicity - in one.

The color is the most New Year's color, it seems to me. Ah, these lovely NAKO Mohair Delicate threads! A stunning combination of shades of the most delicate turquoise and dazzling snow-white... From this yarn I have already knitted a magnificent turquoise scarf and airy openwork mittens with the “Leaves” pattern. Master classes on them are also available on the website. And if you want to knit such a kit, you always have the opportunity to use the description. I not only like the yarn, it charmed me: the thread is even, with a light, but not very pronounced fluff. I tried to convey to you my impressions about her using photos.

I thought for quite a long time about how I could photograph my “fluffies”: I wanted to hang them on the Christmas tree as an imaginary New Year’s gift, and wrap them in an elegant ribbon. Can you imagine what kind of surprise you could give someone for a holiday?! And if you also hide something tasty inside, and perhaps even a decoration, then your idea will not leave anyone indifferent!

That's it, let's move on to a brief description of the product. Again, I want to warn and reassure beginners, there is no need to be afraid of anything, everyone can do everything, if only they have the desire. In the master class I will try to present everything as simply and clearly as possible. By yarn consumption. It is approximate, it is about 30-35 g of each color. I already wrote earlier that the total weight of the mittens after washing is 65 g. It also depends on the individual knitting density of each craftswoman. One will spend a little more yarn or, conversely, less than its needlework counterpart. I knitted it quite loosely, especially the top part of the mitten.

I would like to note that the number of rows for the inner and upper parts of the mitten is significantly different. The inner one is knitted using stockinette stitch; there are significantly fewer rows. The “Zigzag” pattern slightly binds the knitted fabric, plus it is also the top part - therefore the number of rows here differs from the inner part.

We will start knitting the mitten from the toe of the inner part, and finish, as when knitting a regular mitten, with the toe of the upper part.

So, let's be patient, this will be a longer process. If you compare it to previous mitten models, expect that you will have to knit not two, but four mittens, but I think I was able to convince you with my thoughts on both the process and the yarn that this work is worth it. Description of work.

Left mitten.

We start knitting mittens from the toe internal details.

For circular knitting with white thread A, cast on 8 stitches on stocking needles No. 2. Distribute the stitches equally across 2 needles as follows. 1 loop will go to the first knitting needle, the second to the second, the third to the first again, the fourth to the second, respectively, and so on. There should be 4 loops on each knitting needle.

First, if necessary, you can place markers to indicate the eyelets relative to which additions will be made for the toe of the mitten.

1 knitting needle. 1 knit, marker, 2 knit, marker, 1 knit.
2 spokes. 1 knit, marker, 2 knit, marker, 1 knit.

We will make increases in each row, from rows 1 to 10, with crossed yarn overs after the first loop and before the last on each knitting needle. The added loops in the next row must be knitted with a front loop behind the back wall to prevent holes from forming. I worked without markers, focusing on the first and last loop on the knitting needle and the “tail” of the thread, it’s more convenient for me. Decide for yourself what your option will be in this case. Here, some are comfortable with markers, while others will get in the way. I knit the toe of the mitten on three knitting needles: loops on two, and knitting on the third.

Next we knit in circular rows using stockinette stitch until the hole for the finger. If necessary, you can switch to knitting with five knitting needles. It’s convenient for me to knit on 4. I knit the loops of the palm on two knitting needles - 12 loops on each, the back of the mitten - 24 loops - on the third knitting needle, and I knit the fourth directly. But I give a description for working with five knitting needles, with an even distribution of stitches on 4 knitting needles - 12 for each. Knitting on the first and second needles forms its lower part (palm), on the third and fourth - the back side.

11-45 row. Pattern No. 5 in stockinette stitch (35 rows). Thread A.

Length is 11 cm.

IN 46 in a row we form a hole for the finger. We knit 12 loops from 1 knitting needle with stockinette stitch, 2 loops from 2 knitting needles, slip 8 loops onto a pin or additional thread, cast on 8 additional loops on the knitting needle, 2 knit stitches from 2 knitting needles.

2 spokes: 1 knit loop, 2 knit loops together behind the front wall, 3 knit loops, 2 knit loops together, 1 knit loop.

We perform even decreases in stitches until there are 10 stitches left on the knitting needles (2 rows of decreases). Pull off the remaining loops.

Finger on top You can make the details of the mitten using thread A or B according to pattern No. 5 in stockinette stitch, here it is at your discretion. My version is a little more complicated - with a curly elastic band.

It is necessary to transfer the withdrawn 8 loops on knitting needle No. 2 and knit them according to pattern No. 1 with a curly elastic band. Then you should get 2 additional loops from the broach, knit the top ones 8 additional loops and add more 2 loops from broach. In progress 20 loops Next we knit in circular rows according to pattern No. 1, curly elastic 28 rows. Repeat the pattern repeat 7 times in height.
Next, we distribute 20 finger loops onto two knitting needles and with thread A we begin to decrease the loops in the same way as when knitting a finger for the inner part of the mitten.

2 spokes: 1 knit loop, 2 knit loops together behind the front wall, 4 knit loops, 2 knit loops together, 1 knit loop.

We perform uniform decreases in stitches until there are 8 loops left on the knitting needles (3 rows of decreases). Pull off the remaining loops.

Right mitten.

It is knitted similarly to the first one, with the only difference being that the hole for the thumb is made on 1 needle in a mirror image.

The pattern on the top part is made according to pattern No. 3 “Zigzag” right.

Processing of the finished product.

Connect the parts of the mittens using the threads we left when knitting the toes: toe to toe, toe to toe. Secure the threads and disguise them between the parts of the mittens using a hook.

After washing in warm water, the mittens remained as soft and fluffy as before, retaining their magical turquoise hue!

There was no need to invent anything special with the decor for the mittens, and they turned out to be good as is. But still, the soul asked for some more lightness and airiness. Using a hook, I knitted a chain of 50 chain stitches and made two tassels. There is also a master class on this method on the website, so I won’t go into detail about the process of making yarn tassels. I added these, it seemed to me, very appropriate beads, and here, before you, my friends, is an incredible winter accessory.
