Waterfall hair braiding step by step. Braid waterfall - weaving and photo

The cascade braid (waterfall) appeared quite recently, but it literally blew up the world of braiding and became a real trend this season.

We continue to weave beautiful fashionable braids. Today, an unrealistically beautiful waterfall spit or it is also called a cascade spit came under our watchful gaze. This braid looks simply mesmerizing, it’s quite easy to weave, the main thing is to understand the essence, and then your hands will go on their own.

Girls simply adore this braiding: the cascade braid (waterfall) appeared quite recently, but it literally blew up the world of braiding and became a real trend of this season. And, importantly, the waterfall braid (cascade) is braided on both long and medium hair, as well as short hair, for example, a bob (see the last video).

Spit waterfall

The waterfall effect that results from releasing the strands looks great, but is also too tricky. But in fact, braiding such a braid is easier than you think! And the site will help you with this again: we will explain everything step by step, show photo and video lessons.

How to braid a waterfall step by step

  1. hair comb
  2. invisible people
  3. scrunchy

Step 1 We divide and weave a French waterfall.

A waterfall braid (cascade) looks better on straight or wavy hair. Part your hair in your usual parting. Start braiding on the right (or left) side. Take the top strand and divide it into three identical strands.

Let's start weaving from the right strand. So, right to the middle - left, here to the left we add another strand on top (see lesson), again to the middle.

Step 2 The cascade itself (waterfall).

It's a little more complicated here. After you have French braided the left strand (it should be in the middle), throw it off, and instead take a new strand in the place where it fell. This is now your new right strand. Continue braiding until you reach the middle of your head, then fix our braid and start weaving the same on the other side. Once the two braids are done, combine them into one and do it in a regular braid or fishtail.

You can see weaving visually by watching the best video tutorials we have selected. Weave in!

How to braid a waterfall braid with an unusual ending

Hair has always been a natural adornment of a woman. Long, shiny, well-groomed curls are already a hairstyle. If we add the desire to look chic in any situation, a little imagination and just a little skill, any owner of long hair can create beautiful hairstyles at home.

The French waterfall hairstyle is considered the most feminine, romantic and incredibly simple to perform.

They say that French stylists were inspired to create their hairstyles Gavarnie waterfall on the Iberian Peninsula But even if this is just a beautiful invention, the curls in the hairstyle themselves resemble cascading streams of water.

French waterfall braiding technique: how to braid?

The technique of braiding a French waterfall braid is clearly depicted in the diagram.

Hair needs to be combed and parted at the side. Weaving the hairstyle starts from the left side. To do this, you need to take a strand of hair from the front part and divide it into three equal curls, as for weaving a regular braid.

The French waterfall is woven similarly to a regular braid, with the only difference being that the top strand, which is superimposed on the central strand, is released each time. Instead, to continue weaving, a new strand of freely flowing hair is picked up.

Each released curl is one of the jets. The more hair is captured in a curl for braiding, the larger and more textured the “waterfall jets” are obtained.

French waterfall: photos, weaving patterns

The French waterfall hairstyle can be done on hair with long and short bangs. Short bangs are styled on their own, while long bangs are most often woven into a braid. In the latter case, we start braiding with bangs. A regular French braid is woven up to the temple to remove hair from the forehead; after the temple we begin to release strands, as shown in the diagram at the beginning of the article. The hair in this hairstyle frames the face like a headband and does not get into the eyes.

The French waterfall with curls looks especially impressive. Each individual “stream” can be curled using curlers or tongs. Hair after heat styling It's better not to comb so as not to disturb the wave. You can only slightly separate the strands with your fingers.

You don't have to have very long hair to pull off this hairstyle. On medium-length hair, the French waterfall looks no less impressive. A braid can transform a classic bob, which many people find very boring. And you can try to braid even very short hair using a similar technique. You may need a little more styling products to hold the curls in place. And then only if the hair is too thin and soft.

Having mastered the technique and mastered the weaving pattern, you can easily create your own hairstyles. You can weave the braid in a circle, diagonally, going down. You can braid two braids parallel to each other, getting a new look.

Another interesting option– braid your hair like a French waterfall, and put the ends of your hair in a bun and secure with hairpins. This hairstyle will add femininity in the office, and elegance and aristocracy at a social event.

Benefits of the French Falls hairstyle:
  • ease of execution, even a schoolgirl can master it
  • You can braid the braid yourself, without outside help
  • a minimum amount of auxiliary equipment is required; in many cases, one rubber band is sufficient
  • the hairstyle is feminine and romantic

French waterfall hairstyle video tutorial (training)

For many people, it is easier to see it once than to read a description of the process a hundred times. For this purpose, we suggest watching a video tutorial in which you can clearly and step-by-step create a French waterfall hairstyle in just a few minutes before your eyes.

Spit-waterfall- got its name because of its similarity with this natural phenomenon. This braid looks as if the strands from it smoothly go down, like waves. Many girls ignore this weaving option because they consider it extremely difficult. But, if you use step-by-step instructions and important tips, you can get the hang of it and decorate your hair with this hairstyle every day.

Pros of braids waterfall

  • The technique for creating a waterfall braid is simple (if you are familiar with the principles of creating a spikelet or French braid) and you can do it yourself at home.
  • Goes well with highlighting and coloring. Due to these coloring techniques, the hair in a braid looks more voluminous.
  • Suitable for both straight and wavy hair.
  • There are many varieties of hairstyles, so braid lovers will have plenty to choose from.
  • A braid helps visually make thin and sparse hair appear thicker and more voluminous.
  • Goes well with both bangs and an open forehead.

Cons of waterfall braids

  • Not suitable for braiding curly hair.
  • Hair should be no shorter than to the chin line (it can be braided into a chin-length bob or bob).
  • It is desirable that the curls have the same length. This weaving is not very suitable for ladders and short cascades.

What hair is suitable for braiding?

  1. Thick.
  2. If your hair is too thick, you can use wax when braiding - with this product you can more easily separate your hair into strands.
  3. Rare.
  4. Due to the fact that this hairstyle is voluminous, the hair will not seem so sparse.
  5. Thin.
  6. Styling adds volume to thin curls. Especially if you first slightly curl them with a curling iron or iron.
  7. Direct.
  8. Waterfall braid looks good on straight hair. If you want to add playfulness to the loose ends, curl them with a curling iron or styler.
  9. Wavy.

For unruly hair, apply a little wax or mousse to your hair.

Curly.

  1. If the hair is very curly (like African women), then difficulties may arise. In this case, straighten the curls with an iron.
  2. Long.
  3. Ideal for learning how to create a waterfall braid. Their length determines how complex weaving you can do.

Average.

The minimum length to create a braid is up to the chin or slightly shorter.

  1. Short.
  2. The hairstyle is not suitable for short haircuts.
  3. How to make a hair waterfall
  4. This is how a “waterfall” braid is woven – all the upper strands of hair are woven in, capturing additional hair, while the lower strands remain outside the braid, creating an imitation of falling streams of water.

WHO IS THE SPIT-WATERFALL SUITABLE FOR?

Most often, such weaving decorates any carrier of it. But, most of all, it is suitable for those who boast either long hair or medium-length hair. The waterfall braid looks unusually impressive on hair with non-standard coloring or highlighting. Also, the hairstyle will look extraordinarily good on curly hair.

French Falls

We can say that this type of braid is similar to French braiding, so those who are familiar with it will find it easy to master the new braiding.

  1. From the temporal region you should start weaving a regular braid, that is, take three strands and start.
  2. If a French braid were being woven, you would need to grab another strand for each strand; in this case, when making one braid, you need to let go of one strand and take another in return.
  3. It turns out that the released strands will create the effect of a waterfall.

  • Hair brush or comb.
  • Invisibility cameras (several pieces).
  • Hairspray (optional).

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. The hair needs to be combed well, as it will have to be divided into strands and woven into a braid.
  2. Take one strand from the front (near the parting) and divide it into three equal parts, then braid it once like a regular braid.
  3. Now let the bottom strand hang freely, and instead weave another strand of the same thickness into the braid (take a strand from the total mass of hair, next to the one you let go). Braid the taken strand into a braid - make it medium.
  4. Add hair from the total mass to the top strand (as you would do if you were making a simple French braid from the remaining hair.
  5. Repeat steps three and four until you have weaved half the head. Stop in the middle at the back and secure the weave with bobby pins.
  6. Do the same on the other side, when you reach the place where the first braid is secured, carefully connect the two braids and secure with pins, try to do this as discreetly as possible so that the braiding seems continuous.
  7. Spray the finished hairstyle with hairspray (optional).

Classic braid waterfall

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. Comb your hair.
  2. Part your hair.
  3. Take three medium strands of the same size from the side of your face.
  4. Start braiding in the same way as a simple braid.
  5. After the first crossing of the strands, release the bottom one, replacing it with a new one taken from above.
  6. Thus, to create a braid, the upper strands must be woven with additional hair capture from the non-working area, and the lower strands must be left outside the braid.
  7. Continue braiding the braid using this method to the desired length and secure it with an elastic band.
  8. Let the rest of your hair fall beautifully over your shoulders.
  9. You can curl their ends with a curling iron.

Spit-waterfall

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. Hair is prepared and well combed.
  2. Make a deep side parting.
  3. Starting on the left side at the temple, separate a small section.
  4. Divide it into three equal parts.
  5. Start braiding a standard braid.
  6. The top strand of hair, taken from the front part closer to the temple, is moved to the middle.
  7. Repeat the procedure with the bottom strand.
  8. Make one “pass” like this, the bottom strand needs to be released.
  9. In its place you need to take new strands taken from the top of the head.
  10. The lower strands left will serve as a waterfall.
  11. When making such a “spikelet” with individual strands flowing down, move towards the center of the head.
  12. Stop braiding in the center and secure this part of the hairstyle with a small elastic band.
  13. Repeat exactly the same procedure on the right, gradually moving towards the center.
  14. Connect both parts of the hairstyle in the center with an elastic band.
  15. It is best to take a small elastic band.
  16. Pin the strands together as inconspicuously as possible.
  17. The final touch is to fix the hairstyle with hairspray.

Simple braid waterfall

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. We draw a parting line in the center of the head.
  2. Then we separate the strand from the temple, form three identical parts from it and begin to weave the braid. The tension between the cells should be relatively free.
  3. At ear level, we leave the lower strand of the formed braid at work and replace it with a new one taken from the lower tiers. As a result, you have the first curl of the future cascade.
  4. Next, add part of the hair to the top strand of the braid and place it in the middle of the braid.
  5. We continue to work on this principle, forming more and more flowing strands.
  6. At the final stage, we secure the braid with a hairpin.

Waterfall braid with twist

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. Use a comb to draw a parting line, then divide a strand taken from either side of the head into two equal parts.
  2. We make a kind of strands from the resulting curls and hide the top twisted strand under the bottom one.
  3. Next, we place a new one in the center of the already processed strands.
  4. The joining “colleague” remains lying on the hair, and the two previous ones are again rolled up with a flagellum.
  5. Using this principle, we continue weaving further.
  6. Thus, every third strand will form streams of water in your waterfall.
  7. The direction of movement of the braid can be either parallel to the back of the head or diagonal.

Diagonal braid waterfall

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. The main highlight of the hairstyle is the diagonal braiding.
  2. In this variety, you can do without marking the parting.
  3. We comb the hair back and braid it according to the method described in the classic version with one small difference - changing the direction vector.
  4. Instead of moving the braid from the left temple to the right (or vice versa), form it from the temporal zone to the earlobe area on the opposite side.

Waterfall braiding

  • massage brush;
  • a comb with a pointed tip (it makes it easier to separate strands);
  • rubber;
  • barrette.

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. Comb your hair thoroughly using a massage brush.
  2. Separate a small part from the bangs to the ear area with a parting.
  3. You can start from either the left or right side, it all depends on your preference.
  4. Start with a French braid, matching the strands to the main ones, either from above or from below.
  5. Having reached ear level, do not use the additional strand taken from below.
  6. It will become the first stream of future flowing strands.
  7. In its place, take a new one from under the one left at the base.
  8. Then continue according to the same principle.
  9. As you weave, the braid must be turned and braided along the back of the head, to the next ear.
  10. You should braid without tightening too much, trying to bring the final strands in parallel with the beginning of the braid.
  11. Secure the end with an elastic band.
  12. You can also braid a regular braid using the last strands.
  13. Fix with varnish.

Simple braid waterfall

  • Comb
  • Thin silicone rubber bands

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. First of all, comb your hair thoroughly.
  2. We separate part of the hair from the forehead and divide it into three equal strands.
  3. We intertwine the strand furthest from the back of the head along the top with the middle one, and it becomes middle, then we intertwine the strand furthest from the forehead with the one in the middle.
  4. Let go of the strand that is furthest from the forehead, and hold the other two.
  5. Next to the released strand, take a new strand of hair and repeat the same movements as in the previous step, always starting from the top.
  6. We weave this way until the end, fixing the tip with an elastic band.
  7. You can braid the waterfall braid to the end, that is, let it go completely solid over the head, or you can initially make the task easier for yourself and braid the braid on both sides, and fasten it beautifully at the back of the head.
  8. Either way, the hairstyle will be great, it’s just that the second option is easier, especially when you braid it on yourself.

Classic braid waterfall

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. Comb your hair properly.
  2. If they tend to get tangled and electrified, use a special spray that will make the strands smooth and manageable.
  3. If you want extra volume, try a light backcombing at the roots of your hair at the top of your head.
  4. We start weaving - from the side where you want.
  5. Separate a strand of hair from your temple and divide it into three equal parts.
  6. Now start braiding a regular braid, starting from the top.
  7. As soon as the top strand is at the bottom, leave it - it will become the first “trickle” of our waterfall.
  8. Instead, take a new strand of hair from below as a replacement.
  9. Weave the braid further, remembering to let go of the bottom strand each time and take a new one from below.
  10. When you get to the point where you want to end the braid, decide how to finish the braid - with an elastic band, bobby pin, original clip or regular braid.
  11. You can also curl the remaining curls with a curling iron to make your waterfall braid more glamorous.
  12. Done, now you can lightly spray your hair with hairspray for greater durability, and the braid will delight you and those around you, remaining in great shape throughout the day.
  13. You can repeat the braiding on the opposite side, and then intertwine both braids at the back of your head and secure them with a hairpin or elastic of your choice.
  14. By the way, to make the braid more voluminous, do not braid it very tightly, and at the end, run your fingers along the entire length of the braid, slightly releasing each strand.

Braiding waterfall braids to yourself

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. We make an even parting.
  2. To do this, take the hair near the face and divide it into equal curls.
  3. It begins to weave like a classic braid.
  4. The main difference: we don’t weave the strands from below into the main ponytail, but let them out all the time.
  5. Together with the released one, we grab another of the upper hairs.
  6. We move down the head.
  7. We fix the weaving.
  8. To do this, take the outermost strand near the ear.
  9. Next, we continue to weave in the same way towards the other ear.
  10. We fasten the strands with an elastic band.
  11. We duplicate the actions on the opposite side, or finish the weaving at the opposite ear.
  12. When the second braid is finished, the elastic must be removed and the two final strands tied together.
  13. You should strive to ensure that the joint is as inconspicuous as possible.
  14. This is the key to a perfect hairstyle.
  15. After several trainings, it will become very easy to braid “waterfall” braids for yourself with minimal time investment.
  16. Moreover, such a braid looks equally impressive both as a daily hairstyle and as a festive one.

French Falls Spit

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. The hairstyle should look like a “wreath” on loose hair.
  2. We begin to weave from the temple.
  3. We make a “circular” parting - the line on which the braid wreath will be located.
  4. Near the temple, we begin to weave a regular braid of three strands.
  5. We make several turns to secure the hair.
  6. We begin to release the strands and turn the braid into a wreath.
  7. The bottom strand is always released.
  8. That is, after the classic cross, the order comes out: top strand, middle and bottom.
  9. We release the bottom one.
  10. And the middle becomes the bottom, and the top becomes the middle.
  11. From the hair on top we form the missing top strand.
  12. Once again we have 3 strands for a regular braid.
  13. We weave one turn, then release the bottom strand.
  14. It turns out that the lower strand is constantly released and a new upper strand is woven in. We move along the intended circular parting to the opposite temple.
  15. When you have reached the end, the braid can be secured with an invisible thin elastic band.
  16. But the classic French waterfall hairstyle involves two wreath braids - one from the left temple to the right, and the second in the opposite direction.
  17. Curl loose hair with a curling iron.
  18. Light waviness gives the French waterfall braid some completeness, visually increases the volume of the hair and makes it more impressive.

Video: how to braid a waterfall

What hairstyles attract men? Having asked this question, British scientists found that in first place in terms of attractiveness are models with loose hair, and in second place are braids.

And if you combine both options, you will get a fashionable hairstyle that will help create a gentle, romantic image. We are talking about a hairstyle that has a name - a waterfall braid or a cascading braid.

Hairstyle features, necessary tools

The technique is so simple and does not require special skills that you can master it in a couple of attempts. It is noteworthy that this hair styling method is suitable for owners of different hair types, hair types and lengths. So, you can braid a “waterfall” from strands:

  • for medium length hair;
  • for long curls;
  • and even cut into a bob, if only the length of the strands is slightly longer than the jawline.

To create a hairstyle you will need the following tools:

  1. Mirror;
  2. A straight comb for separating locks and a regular comb for combing;
  3. Elastic band that can be hidden;
  4. Styling product, iron or curling iron, in case you want to curl your curls or, conversely, straighten them;
  5. Invisible.

So, let's look at some options for interesting and simple hairstyles using the waterfall weaving technique.

The classic version of the waterfall braid

Weaving with strands falling down is easy and quick. The classic version involves twisting a braid from one temple to another.

How to weave a classic waterfall braid:

  1. Comb the hair thoroughly along the entire length;
  2. If necessary, apply styling product;
  3. Comb everything back;
  4. Separate three strands from the side of the right or left temple, depending on which direction it will be more convenient to move. The size of the strands is selected as desired, depending on the desired thickness of the finished braid;
  5. Start with the top strand, moving it to the middle as when weaving a regular braid;
  6. The lower part should also be moved to the middle;
  7. Repeat the previous two steps;
  8. After moving the top and bottom parts to the middle, you need to release the strand that will be at the bottom of the braid;
  9. For the next step, you need to take a new strand from the loose hair below and weave it in;
  10. Continue, leaving hanging strands and taking new ones from the rest of the hair;
  11. Secure the braid with an elastic band when it is ready, hide it behind the ear, under the hair, or braid it along the entire length of the hair, leaving it hanging.

If necessary, you can fix the styling with hairspray.

How to braid a waterfall braid yourself

The main advantage of the “waterfall” hairstyle is its ease of execution, so you can braid it yourself. In order to master the technique with your own hands, you will need the same set of tools. You can attract another mirror by installing it at the back so that you can see the result.

So, how to weave a waterfall braid for yourself? Here is the diagram and step-by-step instructions:

  1. Comb your hair and separate three strands from a convenient side of your face;
  2. Start weaving a regular braid;
  3. After going through two weaving steps, leave the bottom strand, replacing it with a new one from the main body of hair;
  4. Repeating the release of the lower strands and adding new ones, braid to the opposite side of the head and secure with an elastic band.

By the way, for greater convenience, you can secure the already released strands of hair with a hairpin or hold them in your mouth on the side opposite to the braiding. When finished, simply straighten the curls and give them the desired direction.

If desired, you can straighten your hair or slightly curl the ends. And lovers of voluminous nape will need to first do a backcomb and only then begin to twist the cascade.

If the hair becomes magnetic or falls apart, it can be treated with wax or a special spray, oil or balm that is applied before styling the hair.

Several variations of cascading braids

Having mastered the proposed technique, you can try several other options that are no less interesting than the classic one. Perhaps someone will find the optimal solution to create an interesting look for every day or for a special occasion.

French Falls

The hairstyle received its name due to the similarity of the braiding technique with the addition of strands. Someone calls the usual straight “waterfall” of hair “French”. But there is another option.

Scheme and step-by-step instructions:

  1. Comb your hair and throw it to one side without parting;
  2. Separate three bundles of hair of the same size from the side opposite to the one where the hair was combed;
  3. Weave by analogy with the classical method, releasing and weaving in new curls, but not directly from temple to temple, but at an angle. That is, start from the temple and end below ear level on the opposite side;
  4. When finished, separate the strands with your fingers and loosen the braid a little.

In this case, you can leave your hair loose or weave all the curls into one braid, laying it on its side. Fix the hairstyle with hairspray.

You can decorate it with hairpins with small rhinestones or pearl-shaped beads. Provided that the jewelry will look harmonious with the outfit and makeup.

This twist option gives the braid additional volume and gives the hair an interesting and unusual look.

  1. Comb the entire hair back for a straight cascade or move it to any convenient side for a slanting cascade;
  2. Separate three curls of equal thickness;
  3. Start curling by moving the top curl to the center, but along the bottom;
  4. Move the second curl to the center through the bottom;
  5. Repeat the previous steps, not forgetting to leave one strand;
  6. Continue forming the braid in reverse, alternating loose strands and adding new ones;
  7. When finished, secure with an elastic band.

Waterfall of two strands or twisted

  1. Prepare your hair by combing it first. If your hair is unruly, you can treat it with mousse or styling foam;
  2. Separate a strand and divide it into two curls;
  3. Cross the curls together so that the upper curl passes under the lower one;
  4. Separate a new curl from the main hair and pass it between two twisted strands;
  5. Leave the missing curl and twist the remaining two again;
  6. Continue alternating twisted curls with adding new ones to the opposite temple;
  7. Secure your hair.

Twisting option with ribbon

This waterfall option is perfect for an evening hairstyle. A bright accessory in the form of a ribbon should be matched to the dress. You can also use just a silver or gold ribbon.

  1. Comb your hair;
  2. Divide the section of hair for the waterfall into three strands;
  3. Tie the ribbon to the curl that is in the middle;
  4. Start braiding according to the classical method, but at the same time, without letting go of the ribbon, weave it together with new curls into a braid;
  5. Fasten and shape the hairstyle.

Cascade braid in different hairstyles

In addition to the options for direct weaving of a cascade of strands or oblique, you can use other hairstyles with a waterfall braid. Let's look at the most interesting ones:

Waterfall hairstyle in several tiers

This hairstyle differs from the classic one only in the number of braids.

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. Comb your hair back;
  2. Separate three strands at the temple;
  3. Twist a braid with strands hanging down;
  4. Fasten;
  5. Below the first tier, separate three more strands;
  6. Weave the curls into a braid, using loose strands falling from the previous waterfall;
  7. Pin.

Continue depending on the desired number of hair tiers. Tie all the braids under the hair or gather them into a bun. You can weave them into one large braid or leave your hair loose.

Hairstyle of two opposite “waterfalls”

This type of styling looks romantic and gentle. To fasten the braids, you can use a beautiful bow or hairpin.

  1. Brush hair;
  2. Parting down the middle;
  3. Separate three strands on the right side;
  4. Start weaving by releasing the lower strands from the right temple to the middle of the head;
  5. Fasten the braid;
  6. Repeat manipulations on the other side of the hair;
  7. Secure both braids in the middle with a hairpin or weave them down into one regular braid.

If desired, the curls can also be curled. For this option, you can also use a backcomb at the back of the head for additional volume.

Double cascade with weaving of loose strands

The method of creating a hairstyle has an unusual shape and an interesting solution. It is suitable only for those with long hair due to the way the strands are woven.

Femininity, beauty, tenderness are what especially attract men in a woman. Nothing complements the image of a romantic stranger better than loose, soft, shiny and well-groomed hair. And options for using cascading weaving will add a special twist to your look. At the same time, all types of hairstyles are universal and suitable for an evening event, a walk in the park, a trip to a cafe or a movie.

In the next video you can take a closer look at the process of weaving a waterfall braid.

The source of inspiration for its creation was the soaring streams of a waterfall.

The main emphasis is on the flowing curls flowing from the base of the braid. The hairstyle will be a wonderful addition to any romantic look; it is relevant both for holiday celebrations and for everyday work. Looks great on long curly hair, especially highlighted ones - the play of shades successfully emphasizes the curves, which are the highlight of this hairstyle.

Waterfall braid options

There are several variants of this model. To enhance the resemblance to streams of water, curly hair is used to create it. If you have straight hair, you need to create waves using a curling iron.

Classic version step by step instructions

  • We draw a parting line in the center of the head.
  • Then we separate the strand from the temple, form three identical parts from it and begin to weave the braid. The tension between the cells should be relatively free.
  • At ear level, we leave the lower strand of the formed braid at work and replace it with a new one taken from the lower tiers. As a result, you have the first curl of the future cascade.
  • Next, add part of the hair to the top strand of the braid and place it in the middle of the braid.
  • We continue to work on this principle, forming more and more flowing strands.
  • At the final stage, we secure the braid with a hairpin.

Braid waterfall step by step with twisting

  • Use a comb to draw a parting line, then divide a strand taken from either side of the head into two equal parts.
  • We make a kind of strands from the resulting curls and hide the top twisted strand under the bottom one.
  • Next, we place a new one in the center of the already processed strands.
  • The joining “colleague” remains lying on the hair, and the two previous ones are again rolled up with a flagellum. Using this principle, we continue weaving further.
  • Thus, every third strand will form streams of water in your waterfall. The direction of movement of the braid can be either parallel to the back of the head or diagonal.

Diagonal braid waterfall weaving

The main highlight of the hairstyle is the diagonal braiding. In this variety, you can do without marking the parting. We comb the hair back and braid it according to the method described in the classic version with one small difference - changing the direction vector. Instead of moving the braid from the left temple to the right (or vice versa), form it from the temporal zone to the earlobe area on the opposite side.

Weaving a zigzag braid waterfall with ribbon step by step

  • We mark three strands at the front of the head and attach a narrow ribbon to the middle one.
  • We braid a waterfall braid according to the classic pattern, placing it diagonally, and using almost the entire volume of hair.
  • The tape must be passed on top of the right curl and below the left. When the braid reaches the opposite side of your head, turn it back and continue braiding.

As a result, you will get a beautiful zigzag pattern.

Double waterfall

Just above the ear area we braid a classic waterfall braid, moving from one temple to another. We complete the braiding with a regular braid and secure it with an elastic band. From the beginning of the first pattern, we form another waterfall braid in parallel, including the strands remaining after the first braid in its frame. At the end, we switch to a regular braid and, as a final touch, combine the two braids into one. If the length of the hair allows, the number of braided fragments can be increased.

How to braid a double-sided waterfall braid for yourself step by step

  • After preparing the hair and creating the necessary curly curls, we form a deep parting.
  • Then, in the front part of the head at the right temple, separate the three strands needed for your waterfall braid.
  • Next we weave parallel to the nape line according to the diagram:
    • When the movement of the braid reaches the center of the head, secure it with an elastic band and begin weaving a new waterfall braid from the left temple area.
    • When the second braid reaches the level of the first, connect them in any way you like.
